Operation: Test Notification Mail / Update Mail Server Settings
Description: Configure Mail Server for Notification Emails.

Specify Mail Server IPv4 address/FQDN address.
MailServer confines to:
  • Type is 'SCALAR'.
  • Datatype is 'IPADDRESS','DOMAIN','IPADDRESS6'.
  • Maximum characters allowed are 255.
  • IP Class other than 'MULTICAST', 'RESERVED', 'LOCALHOST', 'UNSPECIFIED', 'BROADCAST', 'LINKLOCAL' is allowed.
PortYes 25 
Specify the port number for Mail Server.
Port confines to:
  • Type is 'SCALAR'.
  • Datatype is 'INTEGER'.
  • Allowed numbers: 1 to 65535.
  • Maximum digits allowed are 5.
AuthenticationRequiredNo  
Enable if authentication is required to access Mail Server.
AuthenticationRequired confines to:
  • Type is 'SCALAR'.
  • Datatype is 'STRING'.
  • Only '1' are allowed.
UsernameYes  
Specify username if user authentication is enabled.
Username confines to:
  • Type is 'SCALAR'.
  • Datatype is 'STRING'.
  • Characters (^;'"\) are not allowed.
  • Maximum characters allowed are 50.

Specify password if user authentication is enabled.
Password confines to:
  • Type is 'SCALAR'.
  • Datatype is 'STRING'.

Select the Security Method to be applied on Appliance to Mail Server Connection.

Select Certificate to be used for secured connection.

Specify the Email address from which notification is to be mailed.

Enable to receive Email notifications if the IPSec VPN tunnel connectivity is lost.

Specify subject of the test Email.

Select how you want to send system-generated notifications: through Sophos Device or through and external email server.
